Restaurant Business Essentials

The Greater Omaha Chamber is partnering with Metropolitan Community College's Business Development and MCC's Institute for the Culinary Arts to offer practical, hands-on workshops designed to help restaurant owners, foodservice professionals, and others build the business skills behind the restaurant.

Learn from local industry experts and connect with Omaha's restaurant and hospitality community. These two-hour weekly courses help managers, owners, and aspiring restaurateurs grow their business knowledge, for less than $30 a session, thanks to this partnership with the Greater Omaha Chamber.

First Up: Restaurant Business: Legal Structure
Sept. 23 | 4-6 p.m. | $19

A Legal Issues Workshop designed for restaurant and foodservice industry professionals, this collaborative workshop guides you through the foundational decision of choosing and evaluating your business's entity type. Working alongside your peers, you will analyze how different structures such as sole proprietorships, LLCs, and corporations impact your personal liability, tax obligations, and future growth potential, culminating in a real-world investigative challenge analyzing local Nebraska foodservice operations.
