Employer Coalition (POWER Series) - Transitions: A Practice in Vulnerability

Wednesday, June 17, 2026 (1:00 PM - 2:30 PM) (CDT)

Description

Leadership transitions are inevitable, but they don't have to be chaotic. In this session, Zedeka Poindexter will share hard-earned lessons from navigating changes in leadership structure (such as moving from co-leadership to a single ED), transitions from founding leadership, and shifts in organizational size. Together with attendees, she will explore the role of culture, communication, and planning in creating smoother transitions, and reflect on what changes require a mindset shift versus a values shift. Participants will leave with real tools, shared language, and strategies to approach transitions with clarity and care.
