Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.  Make-A-Wish Nebraska was incorporated in 1983.  Make-A-Wish Nebraska has granted the wishes of over 2,700 children in Nebraska since its inception in 1983. A wish is simply not just a wish, it is as carefully planned journey, designed to complement a child's medical treatment and give them the hope, strength and joy they need to fight their illness.  Health care providers believe the positive and powerful experience of a fulfilled wish often enhances the effectiveness of the medical treatment they offer.  A wish child and their family are active participants in the wish-granting experience, which ultimately provides joy, respite and emotional healing for both the wish child and their families.
