SEH is currently searching for a talented Civil Engineering Intern to join our team part time during the school year and into Full Time Summer of 2024!

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You’ll engineer better communities -- complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. As people walk, drive, bike or commute through a community or across a landscape, your expertise is positively impacting their daily lives.

What you will be doing:

• Supporting engineers and technicians with day-to-day project related tasks.
• Get first-hand experience with engineering projects and to get a glimpse of how you will be able to utilize your educational background in the consulting engineering world.
• Working outside in the field
• Supporting CAD Technicians and Project Manager's on the team

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections, etc.
• Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience or coursework in Transportation/Traffic, Survey, Hydraulics/Fluid Dynamics
• Previous experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
