The Hot Shops Art Center is turning up the heat with its annual fundraiser, Art Factory: After Dark,happening Friday, October 10, from 6–11 PM. This isn’t your typical fundraiser—it’s a full-on creative takeover of Omaha’s most iconic hub for working artists.

Guests will step inside the “Art Factory” and experience a night where art doesn’t just hang on the walls—it happens all around you. The event will feature:

• Immersive themed areas filled with interactive experiences
• Fiery live art demonstrations that showcase the creative process
• Hands-on art stations where guests can create their own take-home pieces
• Silent auction of artwork, unique Hot Shops baskets, and artist-led classes
• Factory After-Party with DJ Angie Spence spinning beats late into the night
• Food, drinks, and local favorites including Coneflower Creamery and Kros Strain Brewing

“Unlike a museum where you only see the finished product, the Hot Shops is where creativity begins—where sparks fly, clay spins, glass bends, and paint transforms,” said Kim Sellmeyer, Executive Director. “Art Factory: After Dark celebrates that raw, behind-the-scenes magic while fueling Omaha’s largest artist collective and the hands-on education that connects people to the creative process.”

Funds raised will support Hot Shops’ mission to be a vibrant, inclusive community where creativity is forged and shared with everyone.
