Join us for a two-day course designed to help you prepare for the ICC General Building Contractor Class A exam and take the next step toward your contracting goals.

Wednesday, November 4, 2026: 1:00–5:00 PM (4 hours)
Thursday, November 5, 2026: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (8 hours)
Total Scheduled Course Time: 12 hours across two days. Instructional time may vary based on lunch and breaks.
Format: In-person, exam-focused instruction
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM (noon). All registrations must be completed by this deadline. No exceptions.
This course is designed for contractors preparing to take the ICC General Building Contractor Class A exam for licensing in Omaha, Nebraska. Participants will learn how to navigate the exam, locate information efficiently within the approved reference, and apply effective test-taking strategies.
Instruction focuses on exam structure, code navigation, and practical strategies for an open-book testing environment using the 2018 International Building Code and 2018 International Residential Code Books.

This course uses the 2018 International Building Code (IBC). Participants should bring this book to both sessions.
Instruction does not cover the International Residential Code (IRC). Before purchasing materials or scheduling an exam, participants should confirm the approved references for their specific exam with ICC.

Exam preparation only: This course is not a comprehensive building code training program. It focuses on exam readiness, reference navigation, and test-taking strategies.
No guarantee of passing: Participation does not guarantee a passing exam score. Additional independent study is encouraged.
Licensing is a separate process: Completing this course does not provide a contractor license or replace applicable licensing requirements.
Exam registration is separate: Registering for this course does not register you for the ICC exam. Participants are responsible for arranging their exam and confirming applicable fees.
Confirm current requirements: Participants should verify their exam selection, approved reference materials, and current licensing requirements with ICC and the City of Omaha before testing.
