Course Overview:
This two-day General Contractor License Exam Prep Course is designed for contractors preparing to take the ICC General Building Contractor Class A exam required for licensing in Omaha, Nebraska. The course is exam-preparation focused and is intended to help participants understand how to navigate the exam, locate information efficiently within the approved reference, and apply effective test-taking strategies.

This course is not a comprehensive building code class. Instruction is centered on exam structure, code navigation, and practical strategies for success in an open-book testing environment using the 2018 International Building Code.

What You Will Learn:
Participants will gain an understanding of how the ICC Class A exam is structured and administered, how to efficiently navigate the 2018 International Building Code, which chapters and tables are most frequently referenced on the exam, common exam question formats, time management techniques for open-book testing, and common mistakes to avoid on exam day.

Required Exam Reference:
The only code book referenced on the ICC Class A General Contractor exam is the 2018 International Building Code. This course does not cover the International Residential Code.

Registration Options:

Option 1: Class Only – $150
This option is for participants who already own the 2018 International Building Code.

Option 2: Class plus Required Book and Tabs – $355 total
This option includes course registration, the 2018 International Building Code, and pre-tabbed and indexed materials for efficient exam use. The book and tabs portion of this option is $205.

 Who Should Attend:

This course is ideal for contractors pursuing a Class A General Contractor license, commercial or multi-family builders, contractors expanding into larger or more complex projects, and individuals planning to take the ICC exam within the next 30 to 90 days.
