Employers & Agencies Building Pathways Seminar

Thursday, June 25, 2026 (3:00 PM - 4:30 PM) (CDT)

Description

The Omaha Refugee Task Force Employment Subcommittee, in collaboration with the Greater Omaha Chamber, Lutheran Family Services, Center for Immigrant and Refugee Advancement, Quality Pork International Inc., Lozier, Metropolitan Community College, Heartland Workforce Solutions, Heartland Workers Center, Nebraska Enterprise Fund, and the City of Omaha Human Rights & Relations: ONEBiz - invite you to join a conversation about addressing the urgent challenges facing our refugee neighbors. Due to recent reductions in food assistance programs, many refugee families urgently need secondary sources of income and clear pathways for upskilling to maintain stability. With the unwavering support of the Greater Omaha Chamber, this seminar will convene employers, workforce development agencies, educational institutions, resettlement agencies, and other partners. Together, we will engage in a focused, pragmatic dialogue to develop sustainable income opportunities and advancement strategies for refugee families. Your voice will directly inform strategies that close opportunity gaps and inspire unified action.
