CODE Centering BIPOCS Folks by Building Intentional Community and Connectivity Retreat
Friday, December 1, 2023 (8:00 AM - 3:00 PM) (CST)
Description
The purpose of this gathering is to cultivate moments and space for BIPOC individuals to simply "be." It's an opportunity to be present, connected, safe, and known. We understand that connectivity and community are fundamental elements that bind BIPOC individuals not only to each other but, more crucially, to their own authentic selves.
As BIPOC individuals, navigating spaces where we're in the minority can often erode vital aspects of our identities and layered authenticity. This retreat is specifically crafted to provide the necessary environment for rediscovery, connection, and community-building.
Please note: This retreat is exclusively for individuals identifying as BIPOC. However, allies are warmly welcomed to join us during our morning networking session.
For any accommodation requirements or inquiries, please feel free to contact Yajaira Lopez-Villa at ylopezvilla@omahachamber.org. We strive to ensure that this retreat is accessible to all who wish to participate.
Your presence at this retreat would greatly contribute to the creation of a nurturing and supportive community. We hope to see you there to share in this meaningful experience.
