The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, NE Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce are excited to present our annual Federal Legislative Summit on August 29th at the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum. 

The 2024 event will uphold our tradition of excellence as we welcome all members of the Nebraska federal delegation and present a keynote address from Philip Wegmann, White House correspondent for Real Clear Politics.

Philip Wegmann is a national political reporter who covers the White House for RealClearPolitics, a post he has held since 2019. He has reported on two presidencies, and two presidents have yelled at him.

On the White House beat, Wegmann represents RCP at the daily briefing where his questions during the pandemic, the Afghanistan withdrawal, and the border crisis regularly broke news. 

He has reported everywhere from Iowa to the Oval Office, and his long-form profiles of  presidential candidates, the House Speaker, and Cabinet members drive headlines. 

Wegmann previously worked as a staff writer for the Washington Examiner where his reporting led to a Congressional Ethics Investigation and, at the time, the first official reprimand of a sitting member of Congress in more than a decade. 

He is a frequent guest on Fox News and has appeared previously on both CNN and MSNBC. His voice has been heard on the BBC and NPR.

He grew up working at a feed and grain mill in little Woodburn, Indiana and later graduated with a B.A. in History and Political Philosophy from Hillsdale College.
