The Cottonwood Hotel, built in 1916, was declared an Omaha landmark in 1983 and listed on
the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. In 2018, a project to restore the hotel was
announced, which has resulted in the restoration of the historic Blackstone Hotel. Renamed
the Cottonwood Hotel to pay homage to the infamous Cottonwood Room, the restored hotel
boasts 205 guest rooms, including 26 suites, 13,500 square feet of event space, The Committee
Chophouse - a signature street-front steakhouse - and the re-imagined Cottonwood Lounge.
