
New! - Nebraska Safety Council Announces Rural Nebraska Health & Safety Program
The Nebraska Safety Council announces a new collaborative agriculture community outreach program called Cultivating Community. The Cultivating Community program is designed to help increase access to health and safety resources and training opportunities for local residents. Program participants will learn more about staying safe on Nebraska roadways, how to help someone experiencing a mental health crisis, importance of sleep and eating healthy, avoiding disease, proper lifting techniques and so much more. You are invited to join the Nebraska Safety Council in this state-wide effort.
Did you know? More than one-third of Nebraska population (33%) live in rural communities. Communities with limited access to healthcare and emergency services, mental health practitioners, dental care, internet access and limited educational health and safety resources.
The following programs and presentations are available (free):
- Sleepless in Nebraska
- QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Training for Agricultural Communities, a Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training
- Staying Safe on Rural Nebraska Roadways
- Lyme Disease Prevention
- Zoonotic Disease and Pregnancy
