For each ticket sold, $100 will be donated to the College World Series of Omaha, Inc.
College World Series of Omaha, Inc. is the local organizing committee for the CWS. This non-profit organization was incorporated in 1967, with roots going back before the first CWS in Omaha in 1950. The mission of its all-volunteer board of directors is enlisting community support for the College World Series from business, government, civic organizations and individuals.
Guiding the activities of the local contributors and the many volunteers involved in the Series is the executive committee of the College World Series of Omaha, Inc., board. This group of dedicated individuals meets each month to develop policies and plans that assure the success and growth of each year’s event. Key interactions include the city, Convention and Visitors Bureau and MECA locally; and relationships with NCAA senior executives and operating staff. CWS of Omaha, Inc. also coordinates with NCAA marketing/promotions and is responsible for overall Reserve and General Admission Ticket Sales.
About our Guest Speaker - Jack Diesing Jr.
Jack Diesing Jr. is an influential community leader committed to service and growth. As the President of CWS of Omaha Inc. since 1989; Jack carries on the tradition of this tournament held every spring in Omaha since 1950. His father Jack Diesing Sr. served as chairman of the CWS and formed the local organizing committee in 1967. This organization coordinates local Omaha civic support/local business involvement and general public-private cooperation in support of the College World Series experience in Omaha.
An Omaha native and graduate of Creighton Prep, Diesing earned a degree in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and served abroad on Naval destroyers during the Vietnam War. Setting his professional sights, he returned to Omaha and secured a foothold in the commercial insurance industry. For 27 years, Diesing served with Aon Risk Services of Nebraska. He retired in 2017 holding the position of Chairman for 10 years.
