CreativeMornings – Justice

Description

How do you define creativity? By channeling imagination and ability into an original work of art? Natalie Wallace is doing what creatives do so well – she’s helping us expand our thinking. Blessed with “severe empathy,” Natalie operates at the intersection of creativity and justice – pushing the bounds of traditional thinking to impact a hidden epidemic in Omaha: sex trafficking. It’s a complex problem that demands original ideas and non-traditional methods. In other words, creative community, Natalie is out to inspire you to action, give voice to the hundreds impacted locally each month, and ultimately end sex trafficking in our community. About Our Speaker Natalie Wallace has made it her mission to bring a voice to the voiceless. Throughout her life, this has shown in a range of ways – from helping creatives find the best way to present their craft to spearheading efforts to end local sex trafficking. Kentucky Proud turned Nebraska Nice, Natalie has been wrangling creatives for 15 years, most recently as director of marketing for both Omaha Fashion Week and Omaha Design Center. Fold in twelve years of social advocacy, steep in ministry for seven years, add a dash of Southern charm and out comes a unique perspective on life.
